Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.

To achieve excellence in education in all the areas of Civil Engineering by providing state of art facilities to occupy a place of pride amongst the eminent educational institutes of state.
Mission
To effectively train the female students in Civil Engineering who can serve the society competently, collaboratively and ethically.
Scope of the Branch
Government Polytechnic for Women is a leader in technical education. It imparts the students with all skills required to satisfy the requirements of the industries. GPW Faridabad is well-known for its industry-based curriculum. Students attend many recruitment drives on and off campus.
The training and placement cell of GPW Faridabad organises events focusing on Technical Skills, Enhancement Classes, Expert Lectures, Workshops, and Recruitment Drives. It also provides training to the students in aptitude, reasoning, communication, and group discussion. Students of GPW Faridabad also get engaged in in-plant training where they get to work in live projects and improve their professional skills.
The placement cell has been able to provide placement to students of various courses. The average package has gone to 3.5Lakhs per annum respectively. Companies in the list below have given opportunities to our students either for placements or 8 weeks training

Civil Engineering being the oldest core branch has developed to leaps and bounds in recent times. The prospects are bright for civil engineers in years to come in view the Globalization and Liberalization of our national economy. This has opened the doors for foreign investment in infrastructural development of our country, simultaneously throwing the challenges to our people to compete with the multinationals. It has also created vast and never ending job opportunities.
