Architectural Assistantship
The Architectural Assistantship Department was started in the year 1999 in Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad which is an AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) approved institute that offers a three year Diploma in Architecture programme having an intake of 60 students annually. This course can be pursued by students who have passed 10th grade, and for lateral entry admission students should have passed 12th standard in the Science Stream (Non-Medical).
Civil Engg.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
Computer Engg.
The department of computer engineering was established to meet the demand for well qualified computer professionals and was conceived in the year 1999. The department offers a 3 year diploma for 10th pass students and a 2 year diploma for 12th pass students through lateral entry. The programme focuses on theoretical as well as software application development. The department has well qualified and vibrant faculty dedicated to the betterment of the students. Most of the students passed out are well placed or have opted for higher studies. The department has provided well equipped computer labs with the latest computer software. The labs are installed with leased line internet facility. The annual intake of the department is 120 students. The department ensures that programme objectives are constantly met and learning outcomes are monitored through periodical tests and assignments.
Diploma Business Management
The Department of Business Management was introduced in the year 2007 at Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad. It is a three year diploma offering specialization in Retail and Human Resource Management with an intake of 60 seats. Since then, it has been running successfully with alumni as entrepreneurs and performing brilliantly in their respective fields of work. The department has experienced faculty working with an aim of holistic development of budding managers.
Electronics and Communication Engg.
Electronics engineering is a sub-discipline of electrical engineering which emerged in the early 20th century and is distinguished by the additional use of active components such as semiconductor devices to amplify and control electric current flow.
Fashion Design
We offer a three year Diploma in Fashion Design programme, it has an intake of 60+ students and was started in 2004. It assures an industry based, market oriented, demanding career in the field of fashion. Skill development with technical know-how, industrial visits and industrial internship are the key points of the programme.
Mechanical Engg.
Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the newest departments of the institute. It is also one of the biggest departments of the institute having 12 laboratories, and collinear with the other departments' Workshop which consists of 13 workshops.
