Architectural Assistantship

The ArchitecturalAssistantship Department was started in the year 1999 in Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad which is an AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) approved institute that offers three yearDiploma in Architecture program having intake of 60 students annually. This course can be pursued by the students who have passed 10th grade and for lateral entry admission students should have passed 12th standard in Science Stream(Non-Medical).

Scope of the Branch

It is a multi-faceted profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied to achieve a built environment. It involves the basics of architecture, building construction and interior designing. This course trains students in the above mentioned disciplines and makes them capable of serving and working under architects and civil engineers (who possess higher qualifications).
Through various subjects being taught in course like history of Architecture, design of various buildings, landscaping, interior designing and construction technology students get an in-depth understanding of the concepts of architecture and design. Through project-based coursework, students are prepare how to put these theoretical concepts to practical work. The main emphasis on the students here is to train them other to become an independent and skillful professional.
