Diploma Business Management

The Department of Business Management, was introduced in the year 2007 at Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad. It is a three year diploma offering specialisation in Retail and Human Resource Management with an intake of 60 seats. Since then, it has been running successfully with alumni as entrepreneurs and performing brilliantly in their respective field of work. The department has experienced faculty working with an aim of holistic development of budding managers.

Scope of the Branch

Diploma in Business Management is designed to focus on preparing students for the corporate world who can communicate effectively and be successful through initiative and innovative application of management fundamentals in practical world. It aims at enhancing the entrepreneurship abilities in students to undertake independent ventures with great managerial problem solving skills. Students can also contribute to the fields of education and research by pursuing higher education in the field of management.

The Department of Business Management aspires to be a space for students to come together and embark on a journey of lifelong learning.The department provide a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge that match well with the requirements of the industry. The department has experienced and young faculty in all functional areas of management who are engaged in teaching and overall development of the budding managers.

During study at the department, the students are encouraged through internship process with reputed organisation. Our department provides excellent environment to students to hone up various management skills and has a continuous process of interaction with a corporate and industry leaders through guest lectures, seminars and other extra-curricular events. Today,our alumni serve at different human resource and retail positions in renowned organisations.
